Job summary

AbbVie Westport seeks an experienced Associate Director of Maintenance to provide strategic and operational leadership for maintenance and engineering across manufacturing and utility equipment, ensuring reliability, compliance, and uptime. You will lead a high-performing team, drive preventive and corrective maintenance, manage budgets, execute capital projects, and ensure GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' combined experience in engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering, maintenance, or technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering functions to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
• Set objectives, priorities, and performance metrics aligned with site goals.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance across manufacturing and utilities.
• Drive reliability engineering programmes to reduce downtime.
• Oversee engineering budgets and capital projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and quality requirements.
• Support audits and inspections and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead investigations, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
