Job summary

Clarios in Oconee, SC is seeking an engineering leader to develop and implement strategies that improve quality, reduce downtime, and cut costs across the plant. This role directly manages 5–6 manufacturing engineers and is onsite five days a week with overtime as needed.

You will drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, document engineering changes, and ensure PLC programming expertise is applied to existing equipment and new production expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing; 8+ preferred.
• 5+ years in an engineering leadership role within manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering and maintenance strategies to improve quality and reduce downtime.
• Direct 5-6 manufacturing engineers and guide Lean/Six Sigma activities.
• Document and cost-engineer changes; support production expansion projects.
• Provide PLC troubleshooting training and software modifications.
• Support a 24/7 operation with flexible scheduling.
