Job summary

Clarios is seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance technician to support Power Frame operations at our Oconee, SC facility. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, repair, reprogramming and installation on production equipment under general supervision.

Requires at least 4 years of machine maintenance experience, ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have at least 4 years previous experience with machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of machine shop tools including micrometer, veneer calipers, dial and depth indicator micrometers, and hand tools
• Must have a learner mentality – willing to increase scope and knowledge of the position
• Strong team player
• Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing, leaded environment requiring PPE to include respirators

Responsibilities

• Complete PM activities in the online work order management system.
• Diagnose problems, repair, adjust and maintain production equipment to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate with shift supervisors and operators to test and inspect equipment and identify issues affecting quality and production.
• Make periodic checks of machines and perform preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair general mechanical and electrical components.
• Collaborate with external vendors for repair and servicing of production equipment.
• Work well under pressure to repair equipment quickly.
• Read and understand electrical, equipment manuals, pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Participate in High Performance teams for continuous improvements.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly following 5S procedures.
• Adhere to all plant safety rules.
• Take part in group meetings to maintain safety, quality, and productivity.
• Respond to afterhours maintenance calls on an on-call basis.
