Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Group Leader to lead and implement production process methods and provide engineering support to enable the La Crosse Operations manufacturing agenda.

You will oversee the full spectrum of the operations manufacturing engineering continuum, develop engineering talent, and drive manufacturing excellence to meet long-term plant objectives and growth aspirations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • MS Degree in Engineering is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership of projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of engineering standard work (BOS).

Responsibilities

  • Develops quality and manufacturing process concepts for component and end product manufacturing.
  • Supports development and maintenance of quality and process documentation including standard work generation and modification.
  • Plan required resources each year and manage the departmental budget.
  • Advise on capital requests and analyze production capacities.
  • Implement capital equipment including evaluation, selection and run-offs.
  • Set objectives and allocate resources for product development, productivity, cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
  • Provide engineering support for special engineered products.
  • Support production engineering needs (Ready to Serve).
  • Report status of engineering projects as required.
  • Maintain adherence to BOS, and TTPPM standards.
  • Drive project speed and measurable results on schedule and budget.
  • Review engineering designs for NPD considering manufacturing capability or sourcing capability.
  • Create product and PFMEAs to drive plant control development.
  • Review changes to determine effects on processes and update documentation.
  • Determine effects on tooling and CNC programming.
  • Assist suppliers with process and quality issues and drive corrective actions.
