Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to partner with product design and site manufacturing teams, delivering manufacturing solutions that enhance safety, quality, productivity and capacity. You will work on new product platforms and existing products, collaborating across sites and suppliers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, and experience with Lean/3P-DFM methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
HVAC or heavy industrial environment preferred.
Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing solutions in collaboration with product design and site manufacturing engineering using 3P/DFM and Lean principles.
Develop cost estimates and budgets for manufacturing projects including new equipment and facility changes.
Execute projects to procure and commission new manufacturing equipment and processes from scope to commissioning.
Identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies, including robotics/automation and sheet metal fabrication.
Develop and implement long-range facility plans based on business forecasts.
Support sustainability and productivity goals at manufacturing sites.
Travel to manufacturing and supplier sites as required (up to 40%).
Provide technical leadership for timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems.
