Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer in La Crosse, WI to lead engineered systems and drive sustainable manufacturing improvements. The role focuses on safety, quality, and operational efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will design layouts, resolve process and product design issues using data-driven investigations, and ensure OSHA-compliant safety practices in partnership with EHS.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• PFMEA experience preferred.
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
• Effective communication at multiple levels with ability to build relationships.
• Growth mindset and willingness to expand technical skillset.
• Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines; practical experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing process and product design problems with investigations, statistics, and corrective actions.
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to improve efficiency and quality.
• Uphold manufacturing standards including process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and routing records.
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source.
• Partner with on-site EHS to ensure equipment meets safety regulations (OSHA).
• Serve as voice of the customer for input for new design development.
