Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Lean Technical Specialist to lead Lean transformation across manufacturing operations. You will facilitate Kaizen events, map value streams, and drive sustainment of improvements with PDCA and A3 methodologies.

The role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration and a background in engineering or industrial fields. The position emphasizes developing Lean standards, coaching staff, and partnering with engineering to embed Lean into daily management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or industrial engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean tools: VSM, Kaizen facilitation, SMED, 5S, standard work, takt time, flow, pull systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping to identify opportunities.
• Drive problem solving using A3, PDCA, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and leadership to embed Lean into daily management.
• Provide technical direction to prototyping efforts to ensure Lean alignment.
