Job summary

Emerson in Louisville is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the engineering staff with a manufacturing focus across operations. You will drive safety, ergonomics and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production.

You will oversee automation projects, standardize assembly methods, and ensure readiness for new product launches, ECNs and custom products.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; combination of experience and education acceptable.
• Demonstrated expertise in PLCs, electromechanical assembly, welding, and electrical engineering.
• Formal problem solving and team facilitation experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities and supervise the Manufacturing Engineer staff.
• Drive safety and ergonomic improvement efforts across the manufacturing environment.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S and Lean with fixtures, tooling and production aides.
• Lead process automation projects, selection, setup, installation and training of automated equipment.
• Establish and maintain setup parameters for special processes (welding, painting, testing, etc.).
• Support Global Manufacturing Strategy and standardize methods, processes and equipment.
• Represent Manufacturing in design reviews for New Product Development, ECNs and DFx/Lean aligned.
• Ensure production readiness for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Materials on vendor changes and material qualification.
