Job summary

Emerson Electric Corporation based in Houston, TX, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes aligned with product specs and quality standards. You will lead improvements, design tooling, and collaborate across functions to ensure manufacturability and successful production launches.

You will analyze data, optimize layouts, and drive KPI improvements like yield, cycle time, throughput, and OEE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in assembly, machining, and electromechanical assembly.
• Experience with capital improvement justification and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (SOPs, process maps).
• Plan and implement capital equipment acquisitions and asset management.
• Drive KPI improvements (yield, cycle time, throughput, scrap, OEE).
• Lead lean initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, TPM) and support NPD ramps.
