Packsize in Louisville, KY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Machine Assembly Operations to design and improve assembly processes for complex machinery. You will develop tooling, fixtures, and SOPs while guiding production teams through technical challenges on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help reduce cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards across the assembly line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years in manufacturing, machine or equipment assembly.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, fasteners, torque, alignment.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or Inventor; layout design.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize assembly processes for complex machines and systems.
• Design tools, jigs and fixtures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions for machine assembly.
• Provide technical guidance and solve issues on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering for manufacturability.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
• Analyze downtime and bottlenecks; implement corrective actions.
• Assist with layout planning and workstation design for lines.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
