Job summary

Radio Design Labs is seeking an engineering leader to drive manufacturing engineering across electronics, SMT, fabrication, and integration. You will lead the team, align priorities with production and quality, and apply data-driven Lean methods on the shop floor.

The role combines planning with hands-on engineering on the production line, focusing on process improvements, design for manufacturability, and successful new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Have 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including technical leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing, SMT, PCB assembly, or metal fabrication.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, ERP systems, manufacturing documentation, and engineering change processes.
• Have improved productivity, solved complex manufacturing problems, and implemented sustainable process changes.
• Communicate clearly, organize work, and collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, process validation, and continuous improvement; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team and support processes, equipment, and documentation.
• Improve manufacturing processes using Lean, data analysis, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
• Design for manufacturability by partnering with Product Engineering on mechanical/electrical designs.
• Bring new products into production with manufacturing methods, tooling, documentation, and validation.
• Support production, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis for defects and equipment issues.
• Manage engineering changes including ECRs, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and production docs.
• Evaluate equipment and reliability; plan preventive maintenance and ensure production readiness.
• Strengthen quality and safety with Quality and Production, IPC standards, and safe practices.
• Measure improvements by designing experiments and implementing durable solutions.
