Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for 12+ weeks at our Wallops Island, VA site. You will support developing processes and equipment for the Neutron launch vehicle and work closely with the Vehicle Integration Engineer to ensure smooth integration, testing and launch operations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment, attend mentorship sessions, and participate in intern events while contributing to real hardware development.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Basic coding proficiency (Python, SQL, or automation scripting)

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing processes and equipment for receipt, integration and launch of Neutron launch vehicle
• Collaborate across teams to deliver results and learn through mentorship
• Attend regular 1:1s and progress updates with mentors and supervisors
• Participate in tech talks and networking events for interns
