Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation invites ambitious engineering students for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern Summer 2027 at Wallops Island, VA. You will support developing processes and design/build equipment for receipt, integration, and launch of the Neutron launch vehicle.

You will work with the Neutron Vehicle Integration team, participate in hands-on tasks, and gain exposure to CAD/CAM, Python, and SQL within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

As aManufacturingEngineeringInternbased at Rocket Lab’s siteinWallops Island, Virginia, you will have the opportunity tosupport thedeveloping processes,as well asidentifying and design build of necessary equipment for receipt and final integrationand launch of the Neutron Launch Vehicle.You’llwork closelythe Neutron Vehicle Integration Engineer and other key team members whoare responsible forthe integration,testand launch of the Neutron launch vehicle.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team projectexperience is applicable)

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

GPA of 3.5 or above

6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

Basic codingproficiency(Python, SQL, or automation scripting)

Computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) experience

Strong interest inidentifyingand driving process improvement opportunities

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027

Pay RangeMD: $25.00 USD Hourly

You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs
