Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 at our Long Beach, CA site. You will work with design, production and quality teams to develop and qualify processes to make rocket engines, gaining hands-on experience with advanced machinery across Rocket Lab’s facilities.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or math, with at least one semester remaining and a GPA of 3.0 or higher; 3+ months of applied engineering experience is

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team projectexperience is applicable)
• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Computer-aideddesignand manufacturing(CAD/CAM)experience
• Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) experience
• CNC, mills,lathes, and powered equipmentexperience
• Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T) experience
• 3D Printing experience

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges
• Collaborate with design, production and quality teams to develop and qualify processes to make rocket engines
• Work with mentors and others to gain technical and professional skills
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates
