Job summary

GE Aerospace offers a Manufacturing Engineering Internship designed to build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly. You will work on state-of-the-art methods, support engine assembly processes, and apply Lean/Six Sigma for productivity and quality.

Eligible students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in a full-time accredited program, and be willing to work at one of GE's U.S. locations. Relocation and housing support may be provided to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness to work in any GE Aerospace U.S. location.
• Reliable transportation for sites without public transit.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
• Support delivery efforts for sourced components with shops and suppliers while building project management and business acumen
