Job summary

GE Aerospace invites motivated students to join the Manufacturing Engineering Internship program. This role builds a strong technical base in manufacturing and assembly processes, with exposure to new product integration, Lean and Six Sigma, and potential paths into MEDP or OMLP after graduation.

You will learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods, support engine assembly and component repair, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced shop floor environment across GE sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program with listed majors.
• Willingness to work in any of GE Aerospace's 35+ U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation, as many sites lack public transit.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
• Support delivery efforts for sourced components by coordinating with shops and suppliers while building project management and business acumen.
