Job summary

GE Aerospace is offering an internship in Manufacturing Engineering designed to build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly. You will explore key manufacturing, new product integration, technology integration, continuous improvement, and cost-out initiatives.

As part of the MEDP/OMLP pathway, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced shop environment, learning Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve processes and productivity while collaborating with diverse teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation, as many sites lack public transport.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
• Support delivery for sourced components with suppliers and project management.
