Job summary

GE Aerospace offers a Manufacturing Engineering Internship designed to build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly, including new product integration, continuous improvement, and cost-out initiatives.

You will learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods, support components and engine assembly, and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity and quality while developing project management and negotiation skills across our shops and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness to work in any GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation for sites without public transit.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for components and engine assembly.
• Maintain quality via risk assessment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and statistical controls.
• Support EHS initiatives to ensure safe work conditions.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations.
• Contribute to delivery efforts for sourced components by collaborating with shops and suppliers.
