Job summary

GE Aerospace invites engineering students to join our Manufacturing Engineering Internship, designed to build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly. This role may lead to progression into our MEDP or OMLP programs after graduation.

The internship emphasizes learning state-of-the-art manufacturing methods, supporting engine assembly, and applying Lean/Six Sigma to improve productivity in a fast-paced environment. Strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Full-time registered bachelor or graduate program participation is required.
• Willingness to work in 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations.
• Support delivery efforts for sourced components by working with shops and suppliers while building project management skills.
