Lutron Electronics Co., Inc seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join the Virginia Manufacturing Facility and contribute to high‑impact projects. You will gain hands‑on experience in how smart lighting and shading products are built at scale, with mentorship from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities includeDfM/DfA studies, assembly line design, and driving projects with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• GPA of at least 3.20.
• Rising junior, rising senior, or master’s student at internship start.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work on-site 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product design, production plant, and tooling teams for high-volume manufacturability.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) concepts.
• Design assembly lines and processes to meet labor and quality goals.
• Drive active projects with cross-functional teams.
• Learn and apply new tools and technologies to improve system performance and scalability.
