Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the manufacturing engineering team in Ohio, providing hands-on experience with real-world projects. You will contribute to design, prototyping, testing, and process optimization within a corporate manufacturing setting.

You will use AutoCAD or SolidWorks to create drawings, organize project data, analyze quality processes, and present outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate in mechanical/manufacturing/plastics engineering with a >=3.0 GPA.
• Prototyping, testing or CAD experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and testing of engineering projects.
• Create and update drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
• Organize and maintain project documentation and data.
• Identify and optimize a process to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and optimize material usage.
• Analyze current quality control processes, identify defects and root causes, and propose solutions to improve product quality.
• Present project outcomes to leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
