Job summary

A technology firm located in Columbus, NE, is seeking an Engineering Intern to support various engineering projects. This role requires pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. The intern will assist in the development of improved manufacturing processes and support project deliveries. Experience with 3D modeling tools like Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, or Pro-E is preferred. This internship lasts for 3 months and may require overtime as needed.

Job description

Engineering Intern

Location: Columbus, NE
Duration: 3 Months

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized, accredited university
  • Ability to lead and/or support engineering projects related to productivity improvement, cost savings, capacity expansion or new process development
  • 3D modeling experience preferred (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, Pro‑E)

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering projects and Central Engineering personnel to deliver projects to the manufacturing operation
  • Assist in developing and implementing improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes that result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality

Comments/Special Instructions: Overtime as required. Working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering field is required.
