Job summary

GE Aerospace in Greenville, SC is offering a Manufacturing Engineering Internship. You will build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing, support assembly and processing, and learn Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity and on-time delivery.

The program is designed as a stepping stone to GE’s MEDP or OMLP programs after graduation, with opportunities across GE sites. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor’s or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• GPA requirement: minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Full-time enrolled in a registered, accredited bachelor or graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, RCA, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
• Support delivery for sourced components by coordinating with shops and suppliers and developing project management and negotiation skills.
