Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Unmanned Systems in Richardson, TX. You will solve manufacturing problems, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile Development Group focused on disruptive technologies for UAS and RF sensors.

Responsibilities include developing manufacturing plans, leading Lean initiatives (5S, Tool Control), and mentoring the team while interfacing with design, program management, quality, and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and implement alternate/new manufacturing processes and technologies for emerging programs.
• Provide key technical input on all product designs for manufacturing ease and cost considerations.
• Examine early assembly prototyping/testing to provide feedback in the design process.
• Identify and justify capital equipment needs for capacity and capability expansion.
• Provide technical mentorship for team in areas of expertise.
• Contribute to CAM and IPT activities.
• Review manufacturing workflows and procedures like work/assembly instructions, rework/modifications, travelers/routers, and special process instructions.
