Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Ashburn, VA seeks an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support the Unmanned Systems group. This role creates, validates, and maintains electrical inspection equipment, processes, and documentation, and collaborates with IPT members to develop validation and test plans.

You will lead test development, mentor teammates, and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and tool control, with up to 5% travel. A US Secret clearance and engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; or 4+ years with a graduate degree; or 10+ years without a degree.
• Active US Secret security clearance (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Define and validate production tests for products.
• Design, develop, and maintain tools, fixtures, and scripts for automated testing.
• Review manufacturing processes and provide design feedback for sustaining and new products.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Tool Control) and continuous improvement.
• Review and approve drawings for manufacturing and sign-off authority.
• Mentor team members in areas of expertise and collaborate across IPT.
• Travel up to 5%.
• Assist in capacity and capability expansion through capital equipment justification.
