Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a proactive Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer in Huntsville, AL to tackle manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvements across the organization.

You will lead corrective actions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply lean/Six Sigma methods to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency, while supporting the mission of national security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years in Manufacturing/Engineering, or advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Alternatively 8+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
• Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex manufacturing issues to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and production efficiency.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements that address production challenges, reduce waste, and strengthen operational performance.
• Lead cross-functional efforts with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and other stakeholders to remove technical and execution barriers.
• Refine and uphold manufacturing standards, processes, and execution discipline while maintaining a strong hands-on problem-solving presence.
• Conduct root cause investigations and apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other structured problem-solving methods to drive continuous improvement.
• Interpret technical, process, and production data, and translate findings into clear recommendations and action plans for the team.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Travel: 15%.
