Job summary

Tangent’s Manufacturing Engineers will be responsible for the cost, quality, and manufacturability of new and existing product lines, leading the initiative to ensure successful and efficient production of our core products.

In Fab and Assembly, work with the NPD team to transition approved designs into mass manufacturing, refine and scale the manufacturing process, and improve overall line performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Experience with process improvement methods (Kaizen, Six-Sigma) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transition approved designs into mass manufacturing in Fab and Assembly.
• Refine and scale manufacturing processes for current and new products.
• Plan, lead, and execute improvement projects (A3, Kaizens, Six-Sigma).
• Coordinate with extrusion partners to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance programs and equipment to meet specs.
• Design and install equipment and manage manufacturing workflows.
• Research automation techniques to maximize production efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams on process flow diagrams and APQP/PPAP steps.
• Monitor SPC data gathering and analysis to reduce defects.
