Job summary

Tenneco is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support daily operations and drive cost, safety, quality, and launch changes. You will develop and monitor plant standards, troubleshoot issues across departments, and lead process improvements with R&D, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities include implementing new processes, maintaining technical frameworks, ensuring ISO/ASTM compliance, and training teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years manufacturing experience.
• Self-starter with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor plant manufacturing standards for efficiency and compliance.
• Provide manufacturing expertise to multiple departments; troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
• Lead or support the introduction of new processes, materials, and technologies across the facility.
• Create technical frameworks to transfer knowledge between product development and manufacturing.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement in materials and process applications.
• Ensure plant compliance with ISO, ASTM, and customer standards via audits and corrective actions.
• Lead creation of internal standards when no existing ones exist.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to optimize materials and efficiency.
• Support R&D in developing new materials and launch processes.
• Assist with CQI-15 audit system to ensure requirements are met and improved.
• Provide expertise on processing techniques, materials, and properties for long-range planning.
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain in-process metallurgical equipment and tools.
• Establish welding, bending, and assembly protocols to ensure compliance.
• Plan and implement trials and plant-based operations for cost, spec, and performance standards.
• Create and oversee training on testing equipment and procedures.
• Develop systematic problem-resolution approaches and coordinate root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Drive initiatives to reduce energy, emissions, and waste in manufacturing.
• Assess and support Capex initiatives for equipment upgrades.
• Travel to Tenneco plants worldwide to provide hands-on support and audits.
