Job summary

UmbraGroup in Saginaw, Michigan seeks a hands-on manufacturing engineer to design processes, tooling, and flowdowns ensuring on-time high-quality parts. You will develop standard work, support production, and collaborate across departments. The role requires a BSME or similar and experience with machining, chemical processing, NDT, and heat treatment is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar educational background.
• Experience with machining, heat treatment, NDT and chemical processing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Self-manage short- and long-term projects with internal teams and vendors.
• Design manufacturing processes based on existing stable processes.
• Translate requirements into manufacturing downflow and control plans.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions.
• Provide technical support to production and supply base.
