Job summary

UMBRA GROUP is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will write and edit manufacturing plans, design tooling and fixtures for production, and enhance manufacturing processes. A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field is required, along with proficiency in CAD programs such as Solid Works.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of CAD programs required.
• Lean and/or Six-Sigma Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit manufacturing plans.
• Design tooling and fixtures for production.
• Support manufacturing with problem resolution.
• Program CNC machining centers.
• Maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control).
