Liberty Diversified International, Inc. (LDI) is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at our Milford, IA plant to drive operational excellence through process improvements, equipment optimization, and robust NPI support.

You will partner with Product Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Quality to ensure manufacturability, labor standards, and cost targets are met from concept through production launch. The role emphasizes safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing practices, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field plus 3+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience; or 7+ years with BOMs, routings, ECOs, CAD/SolidWorks.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Experience in developing labor standards and implementing manufacturing processes.
• Must identify complex problems and develop viable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary manufacturing engineering resource for custom/projects, ensuring setup, readiness, labor standards, and successful launches.
• Support NPI and new product development with Product Engineering and Operations.
• Review designs for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Develop and maintain processes, routings, SOPs, BOMs, and tooling requirements.
• Coordinate prototype builds, pilot runs, and first production launches.
