Liberty Diversified International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process optimization and equipment efficiency at the Milford, IA plant. You will partner with Product Engineering, Sales, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to evaluate manufacturability and establish labor standards while supporting custom orders from concept through launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience; or 7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering resource for custom/project-based products, ensuring accurate product setup and successful production launch.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and development initiatives with Product Engineering and Operations teams.
• Review designs and processes for manufacturability, production readiness, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain processes, routings, labor standards, SOPs, process maps, tooling requirements, and BOMs for new and existing products.
• Coordinate prototype builds, pilot runs, and first-production launches with NPI Lead and support roles.
• Identify and implement process improvements enabling efficient production of custom orders.
• Analyze processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Identify safety/ergonomic risks and implement solutions to meet safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and structured problem-solving.
• Determine root causes of failures and implement design/processing changes.
