Job summary

CSP, a leading provider in lightweight composite components, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to define and optimize production processes at our North Baltimore facility.

You will document procedures, coordinate tooling trials, and drive continuous improvement using lean methods. A bachelor's degree and 3 years' manufacturing experience are required; strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team collaboration and positive workplace attitude; ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Create, document, develop, and implement procedures used to process, assemble, test and/or manufacture CSP’s products.
• Define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Create documentation for production support and data collection.
• Part of the team that approves new product designs for production.
• Assess and approve new product tooling for production.
• Review and authorize new product processes for production.
• Initiates and maintains open items tracking for new products.
• Attend tooling tryouts at tooling vendors and coordinate at the facility.
• Participate in obtaining PSW approvals on new products.
• Continuously improve processes utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to improve labor efficiencies and quality.
