Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Warrenton, VA invites a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing. This role emphasizes optimizing operations and mentoring technical teams.

You will lead continuous improvement using Lean and TPS, collaborate across engineering, technicians, and production staff, and ensure quality and efficiency throughout manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Toyota Production Systems, quality systems, and lean concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Experience with quality tools such as PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R&R, statistical analysis, and A3.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean and TPS tools and methods. Apply lean principles, quality systems, statistical tools, and procedures.
• Coach team on value stream mapping, time studies, Kaizen events, standard work, audits, and root-cause analysis.
