Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a manufacturing-focused engineer with a strong background in Kaizen, continuous improvement, and problem solving. The role requires strong analytical abilities, process optimization, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

You will work on developing standardized work, capacity analyses, and ergonomic cell layouts, while ensuring compliance with export controls and safety standards. A BS in engineering is required; manufacturing tech degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technology is preferred.
• Experience with Kaizen, continuous improvement and formal problem solving is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and verbal & written communication, including SOP development, are important.
• Ability to perform and analyze time studies to develop standardized work and labor standards.
• Ability to create capacity analysis tools capturing machine cycle times, workloads and OEE.
• Experience implementing improved manufacturing processes, including scope of work, tech research, vendor quotes, budget, equipment installation and project management.
• Experience defining and implementing cell/layout and ergonomically designed workstations.
• Experience with export control regulations for international shipments.
• Use observation skills to drive NVA waste elimination and improved product flow.
• Provide technical leadership to manufacturing via cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with CAD (2D/3D).
