Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead projects improving process flow in fabrication and warehouse operations, while supporting material flow from suppliers to line-side delivery.

You will program CNC machines, fabricate, weld, and assemble parts per print, and develop standards, routings and toolings to improve safety, quality and cost efficiency. Strong CAD/Lean skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering is required.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project Management.
• Proficient using 3D CAD and AutoCAD software.
• High-level knowledge of GD&T and ability to develop assembly worksheets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete Manufacturing Engineering projects with emphasis on safe work practices and cost reduction.
• Develop routings, procedures, tool specs and programs for automated equipment.
• Update production routings to coordinate fabrication through assembly flow and manage ECNs.
• Develop packaging requirements for spare parts and coordinate with suppliers/3PL.
• Apply Lean tools (5S, standard work, Kaizen) and perform time studies.
