Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer III in Milwaukee, WI, to provide CNC programming and manufacturing engineering support for machining operations, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The role involves analyzing drawings, establishing speeds and feeds, creating setup sheets, and collaborating with engineering, quality, safety, and production teams to implement cost-effective machining solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years manufacturing experience.
• BS Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or Journeyman status / 5 years machining experience.
• Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to read/write English and communicate effectively.
• Experience with large equipment and parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing organization.
• Analyze drawings and design data to determine cuts; create/maintain CNC programs and tooling lists for Boring Bar and Horizontal Machining Centers.
• Serve as a resource for capital projects and may prepare appropriation requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement actions.
• Develop new and improved manufacturing methods (DFMA).
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve productivity, safety, etc.
