Job summary

BHI Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production workflows, enhance automation, and drive safety and quality across our contract manufacturing operations in California. You will lead process improvements and collaborate with design, quality, production, and maintenance teams to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions.

The role involves CAD design, programming of automation systems, and applying Lean and Six Sigma methods to reduce defects and waste while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required with industrial/manufacturing experience.
Proficient in CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo for schematics and layouts.
Experience with plastics injection molding, welding, assembly lines, and automation systems.
Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, analyze, and refine manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues.
Design and modify schematics, CAD models, and technical drawings for manufacturing equipment and assembly lines.
Program and maintain automation systems including robots, PLCs, vision systems, and welding automation.
Conduct root cause analysis using Six Sigma; implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
Manage project scheduling for new product launches or process upgrades.
Support factory experience initiatives like lean manufacturing and quality programs.
