Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation's Indianapolis plant seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot, modify, and optimize equipment in a high-volume environment. You will support maintenance, tooling, and production teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing or engineering, a Bachelor’s degree, and hands-on experience with controls (Logix, Siemens S7), pneumatics/hydraulics, and lean principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations or Engineering.
  • Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to plant issues as the technical expert during unplanned events.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and tooling; support maintenance and production.
  • Recommend and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement repairs and improvements to equipment.
  • Ensure equipment release to production after maintenance.
  • Lead Kaizen events to improve line output and efficiency.
  • Utilize planning systems and maintenance/tooling management tools.
  • Drive cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomics improvements.
  • Adhere to OSHA and Carrier safety policies.
