Job summary

Carrier Indianapolis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot, modify, and improve equipment in a high-volume plant. You will respond to plant emergencies, support maintenance, and lead continuous improvement projects across tooling and processes.

The role requires 2+ years in operations or engineering, familiarity with PLCs (Control Logix 5000, Siemens S7), and Lean/Six Sigma mindset. Bachelor’s degree preferred; onsite work in Indianapolis with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in Operations or Engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (Control Logix 5000, Siemens S7) and automation.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to plant issues and emergencies as the technical expert.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling issues and support maintenance/production.
• Plan, coordinate and implement repairs, modifications, and improvements.
• Lead Kaizen events to improve line output and efficiency.
• Adhere to OSHA and Carrier EH&S policies; support union relations.
