Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our on-site team in Green Bay, WI.

The role focuses on supporting development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to boost quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot production challenges, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives while gaining hands-on, real-world experience in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Collect, analyze, and report production data to support process optimization, capacity planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to implement and sustain process enhancements.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities related to production issues, equipment performance, and product quality concerns.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including work instructions, process flows, standard operating procedures, and project reports.
