Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. in Aurora, IL is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to identify and implement initiatives that boost safety, quality, productivity and efficiency across the manufacturing process.

The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering teams to analyze performance, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement through structured projects and best practices. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, CI, or operations preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
Experience with coating, printing, converting, or web handling processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead process improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, yield, and cost performance.
Analyze production and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational and quality issues.
Partner with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects and support business objectives.
Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and best practices.
Support capital projects, product trials, and process optimization efforts.
Monitor key performance metrics and recommend actions to improve results.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
