Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern to support initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and value stream mapping with cross‑functional teams to drive sustainable improvements. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in a team‑oriented environment, with competitive pay and exposure to real-world manufacturing processes at Green Bay, WI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and Lean/Six Sigma concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement opportunities that improve productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, measure performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and value stream mapping activities to eliminate waste and optimize business processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement and sustain process improvements.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, process maps, standard work instructions, performance metrics, and reports while supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
