Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leading HVAC company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III in Minnesota. You will collaborate with design and production teams, optimize manufacturability, and define equipment requirements to support both new products and ongoing manufacturing improvements.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, process optimization, and mentoring of less experienced engineers. On-site locations include Plymouth or Faribault, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial tech or engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and cellular manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Represent manufacturing on new product programs.
• Collaborate on cross-functional design teams to improve manufacturability.
• Provide manufacturing support to NPI teams (process flow, tool/fixture design).
• Define equipment/tool design and manage procurement & training.
• Lead continuous improvement/kaizen events and mentor junior engineers.
• Support leadership initiatives and act as trainer on projects.
