Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III in Minnesota to influence manufacturing on new product programs and drive design for manufacturability. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define production processes and provide cost information to engineering and marketing, with a Plymouth or Faribault, MN base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office and MS Project experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, including cellular manufacturing and Demand Flow Technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Represent manufacturing on new product programs.
• Collaborate on cross-functional product design teams to enhance manufacturability and define production processes.
• Provide manufacturing support to NPI teams, including process flow adjustments and tool/fixture design.
• Define equipment/tool design for new and existing production processes, solicit quotes/bids for equipment procurement, and manage projects from inception to training.
• Collaborate with quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance to streamline production and lead continuous improvement/cost reduction events.
