Job summary

Sloan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III at our Andover, MA facility. You will develop, maintain, and specify manufacturing processes for electronic product lines, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager.

Key focus areas include LEAN production, process optimization, tooling selection, and cost reductions while supporting shop floor teams to troubleshoot quality problems and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial engineering technology.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience with technologies, methods, and assembly processes.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods and processes, and routings.
• Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems.
• Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings and establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters for all types of equipment.
• Recommend, justify, and implement the installation of new equipment and processes.
• Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
• Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes.
• Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations.
