Job summary
Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Production Process Engineer to support manufacturing with an engineering focus on optimizing safety, ergonomics, efficiency, and first-time quality. You will ensure the line has the tools and processes needed to build trucks and evaluate new product designs for manufacturability.
The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing process engineering and proficiency with CAD/PLM tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in process, industrial, systems engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of manufacturing process/production engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD/PLM tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for trucks.
- Arrange manufacturing equipment for efficient layouts.
- Define production operation sequences and adapt machinery as needed.
- Resolve systemic quality issues with robust work design and do tests.
- Advise product design engineering on suitable equipment and techniques.
- Ensure compliance of processes with regulations.
- Conduct PFMEA on critical processes.
- Maintain standard work and Production Process Assurance forms.
