Job summary
Daimler Truck North America is hiring for an engineering-focused role to support manufacturing operations, optimizing production processes for safety, ergonomics, efficiency and first-time quality. You will evaluate new designs to develop and implement manufacturing processes and ensure tools and procedures enable successful production of trucks.
The position offers a salary range of $86,000–$110,000 USD and is on-site in Mount Holly, NC with a swing/second shift.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in process/industrial/systems engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PowerBI, Autodesk or Siemens NX.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for efficient production of trucks.
- Arrange manufacturing equipment for optimal layout and productivity.
- Sequence production operations and select tools/equipment; adapt machinery to factory conditions.
- Resolve systemic quality issues with robust work design and test throughout production.
- Provide guidance to product design engineering on equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure processes meet regulatory requirements and maintain standard work and documentation.
