Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Process Engineer (L6) to develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly manufacturing processes across DTNA operations, balancing safety, quality, cost, and schedule while leading multiple projects from concept through execution.

This hands-on, cross‑functional role collaborates with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities to solve problems, standardize processes, and drive Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting manufacturing launches, process improvements, or capital projects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel 20–25% to engage with operations across North America.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, layouts, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly manufacturing processes.
• Support safety-critical manufacturing systems, tooling, assembly processes, automation, and controls.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure processes meet safety, quality, productivity, ergonomic, and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and specifications.
• Evaluate challenges and propose practical technical solutions.
• Manage projects and workstreams from concept through implementation.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities.
• Lead problem solving and standardization across plants.
