Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for 1st shift to support existing operations and drive continuous improvement. You will develop new processes, design tooling, and implement production controls for new programs, while ensuring safe and cost-effective equipment utilization.

The role requires 1–3 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, knowledge of lean methods, and strong cost/financial acumen.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 1–3 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with formal problem solving methods and financial controls/costing is required.
• Experience as Plant Operations/Continuous Improvement Manager or with new product introductions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications, feasibility, and cost estimates for orders and production readiness.
• Develop processes, tooling, and production controls for new products and programs.
• Support production to resolve manufacturing issues and lead Kaizen events.
• Plan capacity, TPM, labor routings, and capital equipment procurement.
• Lead equipment setup, operation, and training; ensure safety and environmental rules.
